Global dialogue program

Global Dialogue is a 1-3 day program that introduces teachers to the CGEP Global Competence Framework and the Essentials of Dialogue from Generation Global. Teachers learn how to engage their students in discussions about global issues within the classroom, with peers around the world, and through facilitated online forums. This program is a based on a partnership with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and is best suited for secondary teachers. However, accommodations can be made for elementary teachers. Register online for a free 1-day workshop at SDSU on Saturday, October 13, 2018 (9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) before October 8, 2018.

Intercultural Ambassador Program

International students studying at SDSU are selected each year to serve as Intercultural Ambassadors in local K-12 schools. Ambassadors work with host teachers to provide cross-cultural learning experiences during the Spring semester to promote global competence, college and study abroad preparation, and unique cultural exchange. Interested SDSU international students may attend an informational meeting on Sept. 28 (1:00 p.m.) and apply online by Oct. 19, 2018. Interested host teachers in San Diego may apply online by Dec. 15, 2018. This program is presented in partnership with the SDSU International Student Center.
