The Bay Area Global Education Project (BAGEP) is housed at World Savvy in San Francisco. The Site Director is Rolland Janairo. BAGEP programs primarily serve educators in the San Francisco, Oakland, Alameda, and Mill Valley areas. Programs include developing World Savvy classrooms, capacity building for global competence, and a certification programs for teachers.

The Global Competence Certificate program is open for

fall 2016 and spring 2017 enrollment.

Now in its third year, the GCC is an innovative, online, graduate-level program designed to increase the number of K-16 teachers who are able to teach for global competence and effectively prepare students to be globally informed, engaged citizens. Over 50 educators have developed their global competencies, teaching practices, and peer networks through the program’s graduate-level online coursework, global fieldwork, and a culminating capstone project. GCC Certificate Admissions are open through December 18, and single course registration is open on a rolling basis. For more information, sign up for an upcoming Interactive Information Session or contact Jennifer Boyle at jen@globalcompetencecertificate.org.
